Paid Internship (co-op)
As an Exhibit Design Intern at Deckel & Moneypenny, you’ll experience first hand on how our team brings brand experiences to life through immersive and captivating exhibits. From putting together concept presentations to seeing exhibits come to life in the shop, you’ll witness every aspect of the creative process. You’ll assist the exhibit designers in conceptualizing, communicating, and executing 3D designs to exceed client expectations and deliver unforgettable experiences.
Essential Job Functions:
- Analyze show plans, client briefs, and show objectives to develop exhibit concepts.
- Create look-and-feel mood boards, compositional mock-up and exhibit style guides.
- Perform 3D modeling and 2D drafting in Vectorworks (training provided).
- Visualize design concepts through various mediums such as hand sketches, 3D models, computer renderings, and mockups.
- Assist exhibit designers to prepare for client and internal presentations.
- Assist the exhibit design team to prepare comprehensive drawing packages, including concept drawings, construction drawings and setup drawings.
Requirements:
- In-person: 10 weeks of in-person presence required at our Louisville, KY office.
- Software: Must perform 3D modeling and drafting functions in Vectorworks (Training provided); Keyshot rendering and Adobe Suite experiences are a plus.
- Self-managing: Able to progress 3D designs with minimal supervision and ask questions proactively.
- Attention to detail: Able to manage a large amount of construction, production, and product details to ensure proper planning and execution.
