SharePoint Power Platform Developer Intern
About the Opportunity
Are you interested in building real-world applications that support critical operations and decision-making? At NSWCDD, you’ll have the opportunity to apply your technical skills to meaningful projects that support national security.
We are seeking a motivated SharePoint & Power Platform Developer Intern to join our team. In this role, you will gain hands-on experience developing business solutions using Microsoft 365 tools, including SharePoint Online, Power Apps, Power Automate, and Power BI. You’ll work alongside experienced engineers and analysts in a collaborative, mission-driven environment.
What You’ll Do
- Assist in developing and customizing SharePoint Online sites, lists, and document libraries
- Support creation of applications using Power Apps (forms, dashboards, workflows)
- Help automate business processes using Power Automate
- Contribute to Power BI dashboards to visualize data and support decision-making
- Collaborate with team members to gather requirements and implement solutions
- Support testing, troubleshooting, and improving applications
- Assist with documenting processes, solutions, and best practices
- Participate in training and mentorship opportunities
- Stay current with Microsoft 365 and Power Platform capabilities
What We’re Looking For
- Currently pursuing a degree in:
- Computer Science
- Data Science
- Software Engineering
- Basic familiarity with:
- SharePoint Online or Microsoft 365 tools
- Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI)
- UI/UX concepts
- Understanding of:
- Business process automation
- Data visualization concepts
- Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to learn
- Ability to work both independently and in a team environment
- Strong communication and attention to detail
Nice to Have (Not Required):
- Experience with JSON, Power Fx, JavaScript, HTML, or CSS
