Live-In Personal Attendant

MUST have a MINIMUM 1-year experience working with individuals with special needs.

We're looking for a compassionate, resourceful, and positive live-in caregiver to support an adult male with autism in a 2BR/2BA apartment in beautiful Solana Beach. This is a full-time, live-in role with a predictable schedule, built-in downtime, and occasional weekend shifts.

Schedule is as follows:

Start: Sunday at 4:00 PM End: Friday at 9:00 AM

Overnight presence required Sunday-Thursday nights

Off-hours: Monday-Friday, 9:00 AM-4:00 PM while the client attends his day program

Weekend availability: Must be available to work 1-2 weekends per month (scheduled in advance)

You will have your own bedroom and bathroom. You will receive rental compensation, plus pay.

Responsibilities include supporting personal hygiene, cooking, cleaning, household management skills, and life skills with verbal and visual prompts as well as role modeling. The Live-in roommate will also nurture and develop community connections, work toward independence goals, cultivate hobbies, and more.

This is a paid position with a supported living agency that provides compassionate supported-living services to individuals with developmental disabilities. All employment requirements, background checks, etc. must be satisfied.

Pass LiveScan

CPR/First Aid certificate - company can provide registration to complete once hired.

Sexual Harassment Prevention certificate - company can provide registration once hired.

IHSS certified (preferred)

Job Type: Full-time Pay: $20.00/hr. (approximately $5,000 per month with IHSS)
