Position Summary:
The Intern, Resource Development for Global Immunization will support a range of resource development activities for the Global Immunization team. The ideal candidate is a dedicated and mission-driven individual who is interested in building a career in global health and immunization. The successful candidate will support fundraising tracking and reporting, building and advancing partnerships, and assisting with the development of proposals. Key Responsibilities:
- Support the development of potential partners and funding prospect profiles, including industry and philanthropy prospects.
- Assist in landscaping opportunities and contacts, including outreach with program staff.
- Support the creation of and review of existing resource development materials, such as Sabin slide deck, profile sheets of Global Immunization’s work, and concept notes.
- Support surveillance and monitoring of funding opportunities.
- Participate in webinars and develop readouts to share with Sabin staff.
- Other administrative duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Currently enrolled college undergraduate or graduate student (in public health, business development, or a related field)
- Interest in public health, life sciences, vaccine science or a related field
- Interest or experience in partnerships, fundraising, or resource development is a plus
- Excellent communications skills (listening, writing, speaking)
- Proficient in core Microsoft 365 applications, video conferencing (i.e., Zoom or Teams), Adobe Acrobat and conducting internet searches
- Close attention to detail, ability to manage complex tasks, highly organized, flexible, and able to prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
- Analytical skills
- Available to work between 15-20 hours per week during the Summer Semester
