Web Development Intern

Job Description:

Please note that this is a REMOTE position. College credit and/or a letter of recommendation will be provided at the end of the internship if needed. The internship is also open to undergraduate, graduate, and Ph.D. students.

We are in need of Web Designers for our web design department.

Responsibilities:

  • Review current website and document what changes should be made to keep the site up-to-date
  • Determine the best website design site to use
  • Determine costs for a CHOYCES domain (Yearly/monthly)
  • Create a new logo (use website or other resources)
  • Create Gmail addresses for team members under CHOYCES
  • Create a synopsis of how to manage the website “look” for updated parent-friendly articles
  • Set up PayPal payment/credit card payment/square cash
  • Allow for other translations on the website and in social media 
  • Create a learning app
  • Create a mini child-friendly webinar on coding


 

Requirements:

  1. Proficiency in graphic design software including Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, and other visual design tools.
  2. Proficiency in front-end development web programming languages such as HTML and CSS, JQuery, and JavaScript.
  3. Good understanding of content management systems.
  4. Good understanding of search engine optimization principles.
  5. Proficient understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues.
  6. Excellent visual design skills.
  7. Up-to-date experience with international web protocols, standards, and technologies.
  8. Creative and open to new ideas.
  9. Adaptable and willing to learn new techniques.
  10. Excellent communication skills.
  11. Creative and Out of the Box Thinker
  12. Create personalized digital portfolio
