Industrial and Manufacturing - Milton, FL - Temporary to Full Time

Now hiring Quality Control Technicians  AND Quality Control Inspectors to work at a Cable manufacturing company in Milton, FL.


POSITION DESCRIPTION:

We are an ISO-9001 Certified OEM manufacturer. We are hiring Quality Control Technicians (to work on the production line) -AND- Knowledgeable & Experienced Quality Control Inspectors (to maintain quality and integrity). Both positions will report to the Quality Assurance Manager. The selected individual/s will be part of a fast paced & rapidly growing global manufacturer.  Typical duties include (but are not limited to) performing the daily inspections of ALL incoming materials, in-process materials, final assembly materials, as well as completing all necessary reports.

COMPETENCIES & SKILLS:

  • Must be able to read basic electrical drawings and/or assembly drawings.
  • Must be able to use a variety of measurement equipment such as tape measures, calipers, gauges, and micrometers (in both Metric and Standard units of measure).
  • Must be proficient with computers.
  • Previous experience w/ wire, cable, wire harnesses, elec. assembly/testing is PREFERRED.
  • Previous ISO-9001 (or comparable QMS experience) is PREFERRED.


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Perform incoming inspection on specific products identified by management as critical.
  • Perform daily in-process inspection.
  • Perform basic lab tests on random samples of incoming materials for lab testing as required by management.
  • Perform daily finished goods inspection
  • Perform equipment calibrations as required.
  • Complete all documentation as it relates to the daily inspection process or lab test.
  • Assist in the processing of Returned Goods for the field and issue appropriate reports.
  • Other duties as deemed appropriate by management.



EXPERIENCE:

  • MINIMUM of 1 year experience with reading/interpreting basic electrical assembly drawings.
  • MINIMUM of 1 year experience working with computers AND proficient with Microsoft Office programs.
  • MINIMUM of 1-Year of Quality Control experience is preferred but NOT required.


EDUCATION:
High school Diploma (or equivalent) is required.

PAY: 
Starts at: $15/hr. --- $18/hr.  
(Depending on the position selected for Technician -OR- Inspector)


SCHEDULE:  
Full-Time --- All shifts are 12-hr's 
Day Shift = 7:30am - 7:30pm
Night Shift = 7:30pm - 7:30am
***EXPECT to work 60+ hours a week***
All hours worked over 40 hours will be paid at Time-and-a-half


REQUIREMENTS:  

  • Must have Steel-toed boots/shoes.
  • Must have RELIABLE transportation to Milton FL.
  • Must pass a pre-employment drug test. 
  • Must complete a pre-employment (level 1) background check.
