Summer Internship

About the Internship Program

Sauder Woodworking Company’s Summer Internship Program is designed to provide meaningful, hands‑on experience while building a strong talent pipeline for future career opportunities. Interns work on real projects, collaborate with experienced mentors, and gain exposure to a professional manufacturing and corporate environment.

 

Our goal is to create a mutually beneficial experience—interns gain valuable learning and resume‑building work, while our teams benefit from fresh perspectives and support on meaningful projects.

Program Overview

  • Paid internship experience
  • Up to 40 hours per week (part-time and full-time opportunities available)
  • Typical timeframe: May–August
  • Project-based work with real business impact
  • Mentorship from experienced Sauder team members
  • Networking opportunities with leaders and fellow interns
  • End-of-summer Intern Showcase

  • Finance

What You’ll Do

While responsibilities vary by role, interns can expect to:

  • Complete a meaningful project that supports business objectives
  • Work alongside a mentor or supervisor who provides guidance and feedback
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams
  • Participate in HR‑led intern events and networking activities
  • Build professional skills in communication, problem‑solving, and teamwork

General Qualifications

  • Actively enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree program
  • Strong academic performance and interest in field of study
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
  • Full-time employees are not eligible
