Sales & Marketing Lead
Job Description: Sales & Marketing Lead (Early-Stage Startup)
The Mission
Kyur is redefining what medical apparel means for the Clinician Athlete. We don’t just make scrubs; we build gear for the high-performance lifestyle of healthcare providers. We are looking for a relentless, high-energy, and analytical individual to join us as our first junior Sales & Marketing Lead.
This isn't a "sit behind a desk" role. You will be the face of the brand at trade shows, the voice of the brand on digital channels, and the engine behind our lead conversions.
What You’ll Do
The Ground Game: Travel to trade shows, dominate the floor, build instant rapport with clinicians, and turn handshakes into a robust CRM pipeline.
Relationship Management: Liaise with medical facilities to facilitate outfitting contracts and ensure our partners are obsessed with our gear.
Digital Growth: Create, implement, and execute digital marketing plans. You’ll own the content, but more importantly, you’ll own the analytics. If the ROAS (Return on Ad Spend) is off, you pivot.
Grassroots Hustle: Think outside the box to get Kyur into the hands of influencers and into the locker rooms of major hospitals.
Startup Pivot: Adapt daily. One day you're a data analyst; the next, you're a logistics lead or a fit model. You do what it takes.
The "Hard" Skills
Digital Marketing & Analytics
Data Literacy: Ability to navigate Google Analytics, Meta Ads Manager, or Shopify Analytics to identify why a campaign is or isn't working.
Funnel Optimization: Basic understanding of the customer journey—from an Instagram ad to a website landing page to a completed checkout.
Content Implementation: Proficiency in creating "on-brand" digital assets (Short-form video, email copy) that align with the Clinician Athlete aesthetic.
CRM Hygiene: Disciplined use of CRM tools (like Hubspot or Salesforce) to track every lead from a trade show through to the final sale.
Startup "Grit" & Operational Skills
Rapid Pivoting: The mental flexibility to switch from "Marketing Strategy" in the morning to "Shipping/Logistics" in the afternoon without losing momentum.
Radical Accountability: A "no-excuses" mindset regarding deadlines and the ability to own the outcome of a decision, whether it succeeds or fails.
Logistical Coordination: Comfortable managing the physical "kit" for trade shows (booth setup, inventory tracking, and local travel).
Brand Alignment
The "Clinician Athlete" Persona: A personal commitment to fitness and an understanding of the physical/mental demands of healthcare professionals.
Curiosity & Self-Teaching: A proven track record of "learning on the fly"—specifically picking up new software or marketing tactics without formal training.
A Recent Grad with Grit: Ideally a background in the service industry (waiting tables, bartending, etc.)—you know how to talk to anyone and handle "no."
The Athlete Mindset: You live a fit lifestyle and understand the physical demands placed on healthcare workers.
Digitally Fluent: You understand SEO, social algorithms, and email marketing. You love a good spreadsheet as much as a good reel.
Local-ish: Remote-friendly, but you can get to Baltimore easily for strategy sessions and gear runs.
Accountable: You don’t wait for a checklist. You see a problem, you own the solution, and you learn on the fly.
