Position Summary:  This position carries the major responsibilities for providing music instruction to students during the Summer Camp 2026.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following, but not limited to:

  1. Works collaboratively in implementing all levels of programming, including beginner, advanced and intermediate lab sessions, as well as rehearsal, recording and performance sessions.
  2. Administers pre/post testing and compiles and enters data into the ODM system.
  3. Participates in Program and Curriculum development.
  4. Assists planning component activities and program evaluation.
  5. Supports SGA recreational activities.
  6. Provides music appreciation and classes to SGA.  
  7. Participates in studio preparation and recording and instructs students in theory, performance, MIDI, and/or instrumentation.
  8. Performs other duties as assigned.

 

Qualifications:

  1. Minimum two years of industry-specific experience in the field (i.e. MIDI Production, performance, sound engineer, guitar, piano, violin, vocal, percussions, bass or sax).
  2. Ability to communicate effectively in verbal and written English.  Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred. 
  3. Knowledge in the use of computers including Word, Excel, Outlook and Internet research.
  4. Excellent interpersonal and communications skills.
  5. Ability to write reports and business correspondence.
  6. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, their families and the general public.
  7. High degree of discretion when dealing with confidential information.

Must be able to successfully pass a criminal background and a drug test screening
