Junior Business Analyst
The Jr. Business Analyst will support the analysis and documentation of business and contractual needs, helping translate them into clear technical requirements and solution details. This role works under the guidance of experienced analysts and collaborates with product teams, architects, and engineers on larger initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Help bridge communication between business and technical teams by translating business needs into clear, structured documentation
- Partner with product and feature teams to learn how solutions are designed, refined, and delivered
- Assist with documenting functional requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria, with exposure to non‑functional requirements alongside architecture and engineering teams
- Support the creation and execution of functional and end‑to‑end test cases to ensure solutions meet documented requirements
- Maintain and update project and system documentation, including process flows, requirements, and test cases
- Participate in meetings, working sessions, and reviews to build knowledge of systems, business domains, and delivery processes
Qualifications
Required
- Currently pursuing or recently completed an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, MIS, Business, Engineering, or a related field
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with an eagerness to learn new tools, systems, and processes
- Basic understanding of business processes, systems, or software development concepts through coursework or projects
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to document information clearly and concisely
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines with guidance
- Comfortable using common productivity tools such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, or similar
Preferred
- Coursework or internship experience in business analysis, systems analysis, software development, or data analysis
- Introductory understanding of how applications, systems, or data flow across business functions
- Exposure to requirements documentation, technical writing, or process mapping through academic or project work
- Familiarity with testing concepts such as test cases or requirements validation
