Location: Virtual / Remote (with optional local event coverage in Fredericksburg, VA)

🧡 Help Us Tell Real Community Stories

This isn’t a boring, corporate internship.

Go Local FXBG is a Fredericksburg-based nonprofit focused on youth internships, workforce development, entrepreneurship, and community events. We work with local nonprofits, small businesses, and students to create real opportunities and real impact.

You’ll also work alongside Go Local Productions, our creative arm that helps run events, campaigns, and content for the local community.

If you like social media, storytelling, and doing work that actually matters, you’ll fit right in.

 

💼 What You’ll Do

  • You’ll help us:
  • Create social posts, reels, stories, and short-form videos
  • Support Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok content
  • Help tell the stories of youth, nonprofits, and local businesses
  • Brainstorm content ideas, promos, and campaigns
  • Help with event content and behind-the-scenes coverage
  • Learn how real community-based marketing actually works
  • Nothing fake. No “practice assignments.” You’ll be working on real stuff.

✅ Who This Is For

This internship is a good fit if:

  • You’re studying marketing, media, communications — or just love creating content
  • You want to grow your skills and build a solid portfolio
  • You enjoy video, visuals, and storytelling
  • You’re comfortable with Canva, CapCut, or want to learn
  • You can commit 10–20 hours per week
  • You’re reliable and willing to learn
