Job Description

Passero Associates’ Rochester, NY Office is seeking a motivated Survey Co-op/Intern for Summer 2026. This paid opportunity offers hands-on experience across a wide range of land development projects, using the latest industry technologies. You’ll gain valuable exposure applicable to careers in Civil Engineering or Professional Land Surveying, working on residential, commercial, municipal, and institutional projects.

Responsibilities

  • Participate as a member of a field survey crew.
  • Provide office support as a survey technician as needed.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Currently pursuing a BS in Civil Engineering, Surveying and Geomatics Engineering Technology, or a related survey-focused discipline.
  • Strong interest in pursuing a career in surveying.
  • Availability for Summer 2026.
  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD (preferred but not required).
  • Prior surveying internship experience (preferred).
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Valid driver’s license and access to a personal vehicle.

Physical Demands/Work Environment/Work Attire

  • While performing duties of the job, employee is required to stand; walk; sit; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. Employee must routinely lift and/or move up to 40 lbs. 
  • Work Environment: Outdoor duties year-round, with a moderate noise level. Able to work in changing temperatures and terrain.
  • Work Attire: Appropriate dress for year-round, outdoor work, including work boots.
