Human Resources Intern- Compensation and Benefits

What you’ll need to succeed as a Human Resources Intern at XPO

Minimum qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent and currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree
2 or more years of relevant coursework
Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)
Preferred qualifications:

Education toward a Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Finance, or a related field
Completed 1 HR internship, Compensation, or Benefits
Intermediate knowledge of Excel (pivot tables, formulas) and SharePoint
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong analytical, organizational, and multitasking skills
Energetic work style with a strong drive to succeed
Self-motivated instincts with the ability to work well independently or in a team environment and consult with team members/management as needed
 

About the Human Resources Intern job

What you’ll do on a typical day:

Support the HR/Total Rewards team in compensation and benefits projects
Assist with compensation survey data collection, analysis, and reporting
Help prepare materials for annual compensation cycles and benefits enrollment
Participate in benchmarking and market pricing activities
Contribute to the development and communication of compensation and benefits policies
Support audits and compliance activities related to pay and benefits
Assist with employee inquiries regarding compensation and benefits
Serve as a key contributor to projects that impact the business and solve real problems
Complete other duties and special projects as assigned
