Field Research Assistant

Assist with field and laboratory research involving soil fertility, cover crop, fertilizer management, and water quality research; including management and sample collection at the Kansas Agricultural Watershed Field Laboratory (http://ksu.edu/kaw).  Research projects investigate fertilizer management and cropping system effects on water quality, seed treatment effects on nitrogen use efficiency, and others.  Duties include: soil, water, and plant tissue sample collection; sample processing; sample preparation and analysis; operation and maintenance of automated water sampling equipment; maintenance of research plots; data recording and data management; and general lab and field help (cleaning and organization).
