Summary:

We are seeking a motivated HR Intern to join our team. The intern will support various HR functions including Payroll, Employee Relations, Benefits and administrative tasks. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in human resources and develop essential skills for a career in HR.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Act as back-up to Payroll Manager by verifying time sheets, resolving time and attendance issues, calculating commissions, and providing assistance to field managers.
  • Handling employee inquiries and resolving payroll-related issues promptly.
  • Accurately calculate employees' salaries, including deductions and benefits.
  • Ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local tax laws.
  • Understanding of the company's pay structure, overtime policies, and bonuses.
  • Assist in administrating and managing the employee benefits program, including health insurance, retirement plans, leave policies, and other perks.
  • Updating our internal databases with new employee information like contact details and employment forms.
  • May be assigned other duties and responsibilities as needed.

 

Qualifications:

  •  Pursuing a bachelor’s in human resources or a related field.
  •  Strong written and verbal communication is required. 
  •  Familiarity with Microsoft Office.
  •  Demonstrate a positive and professional work ethic.
