Organization: Allies Way
Internship Term: June 1, 2026 – July 31, 2026
Compensation: $250 stipend for the full 8-week internship

 

Support Allies Way’s fundraising efforts by researching grant opportunities, tracking deadlines, drafting outreach and proposal materials, and helping strengthen our development pipeline.

 

Allies Way is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Summer Development & Grants Intern to support fundraising, grant research, and development operations during the summer term.

This internship is ideal for a student or emerging professional who is interested in nonprofit leadership, fundraising, grant writing, and mission-driven organizational growth. The intern will help identify funding opportunities, support grant preparation, organize development materials, and assist with sponsorship and donor outreach efforts.

The Summer Development & Grants Intern will play an important role in helping Allies Way strengthen its funding pipeline in support of programs that serve families in crisis.

Responsibilities

  • Research grant opportunities aligned with Allies Way’s mission and programs
  • Help track deadlines, submission requirements, and funding priorities
  • Assist with drafting grant language, letters of inquiry, and proposal support materials
  • Support sponsorship and donor prospect research
  • Help draft outreach emails and follow-up communication for funders and partners
  • Organize key development documents and supporting materials
  • Assist with maintaining fundraising and grant tracking systems
  • Support donor stewardship and acknowledgment tasks as needed
  • Contribute to additional development and fundraising projects during the internship term

Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong writing, research, and organizational skills
  • Interest in nonprofit development, fundraising, public service, or grant writing
  • Ability to manage deadlines and work carefully with details
  • Professional written communication skills
  • Comfortable conducting online research and organizing information
  • Dependable, proactive, and eager to learn
  • Prior experience is helpful but not required
