Farmers' Market Staff

Part-time (Hourly) | $20/hour + Commission 

Location: Washington, DC-area farmers’ markets (various locations)

Earth-Worker is hiring reliable, outgoing team members to staff weekly farmers’ market booths. You’ll set up and run the booth, engage customers, and confidently represent Earth-Worker’s food-as-medicine approach.

Key Responsibilities

  • Set up and break down a farmers’ market booth (tent/table/signage); transport supplies to/from site
  • Sell Earth-Worker vitamin blends and educate customers with care and clarity (education provided)
  • Proactively approach shoppers, offer product guidance, and upsell when appropriate
  • Ensure the booth stays organized, welcoming, and stocked throughout the market
  • Show up consistently and on time—rain or shine

Qualifications

  • Strong interest in food-as-medicine, nutrition, dietetics, public health, holistic health, or food systems
  • Comfortable starting conversations with strangers and closing sales (friendly, confident, persuasive)
  • Highly reliable–consistent attendance and punctuality are essential
  • Reliable transportation to pick up product and transport supplies
  • Able to lift/carry 50 lbs and support setup/breakdown (standing, bending, carrying supplies)
  • Comfortable working in a bring-your-own-device (BYOD) environment; must have a personal Android or Apple smartphone with reliable 4G/5G service

Schedule

  • Markets typically run March/April through November, weekly
  • Most shifts are Saturday or Sunday mornings, with some afternoon markets possible
  • This role may include special event markets; schedule will be confirmed per market and shared in advance

Pay

  • $20/hour
  • Commission on vitamin sales (details shared during onboarding)

What We Provide

  • Tent, table, and all booth materials are provided
  • Uniform shirt provided: employees are required to wear a branded Earth-Worker shirt while working
