Compensation: Salary - $1000.00 per month

Description:

The worship leader models and facilitates music worship at The Garden at Gethsemane campus Sunday gathering. The worship leader coordinates with the co-lead pastors to plan and facilitate weekly worship as well as periodic special worship services (i.e. Christmas Eve, Ash Wednesday, etc.). We are seeking a contemporary style of worship that also draws from the rich legacy of traditional hymns as appropriate. The worship leader is a full participant in The Garden community, including integrating into a house church.

Necessary Qualities of Candidates:

· Demonstrated faith and growing discipleship to Jesus

· Theological alignment with the Global Methodist Church (Apostles, Creed, Nicene Creed, Definition of Chalcedon)

· Vocally proficient

· Instrumentally proficient (guitar and/or piano)

· Ability to work collaboratively

· Ability to develop others with the desire and gifts to lead in musical worship

Responsibilities

· Choose thematically aligned music to include in the weekly Sunday worship gathering and special worship services considering contemporary and traditional options.

·  Lead musical worship for the weekly Sunday gathering at The Garden at Gethsemane location (10:15am) and Main Street location (noon), and special services (i.e. Christmas Eve, Ash Wednesday, etc.).

· Coordinate and lead rehearsals as the worship leader deems beneficial.

· Coordinate with the audio/visual team to optimize the in-person and online streaming worship experience.

· Collaborate with and coach others who are gifted to lead musical worship.

· Arrange for a substitute worship leader for planned Sunday absences.

Reporting

The worship leader reports to the Co-lead pastors.
