The Opportunity

We are hiring full-time Assistant Managers for our growing New York City office.

We’re looking for driven, analytical self-starters who want to build long-term careers in project management. Ideal candidates have construction management experience at reputable firms and are interested in developing as project management professionals within a fast-growing, intellectually rigorous environment.

Position Overview

You will play a critical role in supporting  corporate and retail design/construction projects from early planning through close-out, focusing on schedule, budget, coordination, and risk management.

You will utilize Stepflo, PRA’s proprietary project controls platform.  It is designed to track milestones, budgets, forecasting, and risk exposure in real time. The platform is used to centralize project data, enhance reporting, and support executive-level decision-making.

This role offers early responsibility, direct client exposure, and experience working in a structured, process-driven consulting environment.

 

Responsibilities

  • Support or lead project delivery from concept through close-out

     
  • Coordinate with owners, internal stakeholders, architects, engineers, contractors, and vendors

     
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, documentation, and meeting cadence

     
  • Run project meetings, issue meeting minutes, and drive follow-ups

     
  • Support RFP, bid, and vendor onboarding processes

     
  • Review contracts, change orders, and scope impacts

     
  • Conduct site walks and field inspections to monitor quality and progress

     
  • Track procurement and coordinate vendor installations (IT, AV, security, FF&E, etc.)

     
  • Support project reporting, including schedule, cost, and risk updates

     
  • Utilize internal systems (including Stepflo, where applicable) to manage project data and reporting

     
  • Contribute to process improvements and refinement of internal workflows

 

Qualifications

Assistant Project Manager (Entry-Level / Early Career)

  • 0–3 years of experience in construction, project management, or related field

     
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or similar

     
  • Internship or field experience a plus

     
  • Strong Excel skills and comfort working with project data
  • Ability to interpret drawings, specifications, and contracts

     
  • Understanding of construction delivery risks

     
  • Strong organizational and communication skills

     
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced NYC construction environment
     

Compensation

  • Assistant Project Manager: $70,000 – $90,000

     
  • Performance-based upside available
