PASBDC - Government Relations/SD Special Projects GA.

Assist the State Director in preparing for the national ASBDC accreditation by documenting statewide performance trends, national benchmarks, and general operational components.

Working as a Special Projects Graduate Assistant (GA) for a statewide economic development program offers invaluable professional development across multiple essential domains. The GA gains practical research experience by contributing to organizational studies and process analysis, learning to synthesize complex information for actionable recommendations. Their involvement in legislative affairs provides a firsthand understanding of governance and policy-making processes, cultivating crucial skills in advocacy and political communication. Furthermore, executing tasks in organizational management and communications—such as coordinating projects, preparing reports, and drafting network-facing materials—strengthens their ability to manage complex tasks, meet deadlines, and articulate ideas clearly and persuasively for diverse audiences. This comprehensive, cross-functional role directly translates into a highly marketable skill set, preparing the GA for leadership roles.

This position is for 20 hours/week of work (300 hours for the Fall and Spring semester), and it provides a tuition waiver for 9 graduate credits plus a stipend of $3,750 per semester.  Please contact Sarah Mailloux for additional information if needed at mailloux@kutztown.edu.
