BH2 STREAM School is seeking an innovative, hands-on, and forward-thinking STEM Teacher to inspire scholars in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics for grades K–12. The ideal candidate will create engaging learning experiences that promote critical thinking, problem-solving, collaboration, and real-world application of knowledge.

This role is essential in preparing scholars to become future innovators, engineers, scientists, and leaders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging STEM instruction for grades K–12
  • Design hands-on, project-based learning experiences that integrate science, technology, engineering, and math
  • Encourage inquiry, exploration, and problem-solving through experiments and design challenges
  • Integrate technology tools, coding, robotics, and engineering concepts into lessons
  • Differentiate instruction to meet diverse learning needs and skill levels
  • Assess scholar learning and provide meaningful feedback
  • Support cross-curricular projects that connect STEM with arts and reading (STREAM model)
  • Maintain and organize STEM lab materials, equipment, and technology resources
  • Prepare scholars for STEM competitions, showcases, or innovation fairs
  • Collaborate with teachers to develop interdisciplinary learning experiences

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in STEM-related field (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, or Education)
  • Valid teaching certification (North Carolina preferred or ability to obtain)
  • Experience teaching STEM, science, or technology-based subjects
  • Strong understanding of inquiry-based and project-based learning
  • Ability to integrate technology into instruction
  • Strong classroom management and communication skills
