Mechanical Engineer
Lizardos Engineering Associates, D.P.C., a MEP consulting engineering firm with offices in Mineola, NY and New York City, is seeking Engineers to join our team to work on health care, commercial, industrial, educational, pharmaceutical and municipal projects. We have a need for both entry level and experienced engineers and both are encouraged to apply.
Mechanical Engineering candidates will possess the following:
- Licensed Professional Engineer preferred for the experienced position
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering
- 0-5 years’ experience working in a consulting engineering firm
- 0-5 years’ Piping and Central Plant Experience, Boilers, Chillers, Process Piping
- Design experience in HVAC systems
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- MS Word and Excel
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead and support the engineering of systems for a variety of projects
- Perform calculations and design of systems for large projects
- Create plans, schematics, equipment selection, load calculations, systems narratives and specifications, system design and layout, field investigation and construction administration
- Prepare due diligence and feasibility reports
- Attend meetings with other consultants and clients to coordinate the company’s portion of the project
- Work in close contact with the entire design team
