Landform | Minneapolis, MN (Hybrid Flexibility)

Design projects that actually get built—not just drawings that sit on a screen.

At Landform, you won’t be siloed into one narrow task. You’ll work alongside planners, surveyors, landscape architects, and senior engineers in a studio-based environment—contributing to real site development projects from concept through construction.

We’re looking for a Civil Engineer (0–5 years' experience) who wants to grow quickly, take on meaningful responsibility, and help shape retail, commercial, and residential developments across Minnesota and beyond.

What you’ll actually do

  • Support site design and land development projects from concept through construction
  • Assist in preparing grading, drainage, utility, and erosion control plans
  • Perform stormwater calculations and basic modeling
  • Contribute to plan production using AutoCAD Civil 3D
  • Coordinate with internal teams and external partners (clients, municipalities, contractors)
  • Participate in site investigations, zoning research, and utility coordination
  • Take on increasing ownership of design components as your experience grows

What you’ll gain

  • Exposure to how projects move from idea → design → approval → construction
  • Accelerated experience that typically takes years to gain in more siloed firms
  • Direct collaboration with multiple disciplines in a studio environment
  • A clear path toward PE licensure and project leadership

Required qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
  • 0–5 years of experience (internships included)
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD (Civil 3D preferred)
  • Basic understanding of site design, grading, and construction documentation
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset
  • Strong interest in land development, site design, or civil infrastructure

Preferred

  • EIT certification or on track to obtain
  • Exposure to land development or site design projects

Why Landform

  • Diverse project types: retail, commercial, residential
  • You won’t be siloed—you’ll see how entire projects come together
  • Growth-focused culture with mentorship and advancement
  • Hybrid flexibility and modern work environment
  • 30+ year firm with a forward-thinking approach

What you can expect

  • Health, dental, vision
  • 401(k) with employer contribution
  • Flexible time off (FTO)
  • Profit sharing
  • Professional development + licensure support
  • Hybrid work flexibility
