Police Officer

Police Officers are committed to serving the people of Chesterfield County with integrity and professionalism. The department offers an attractive benefits package, including paid training (no overnights or weekends). Recruit starting salary is $60,147 until completion of training. Upon completion of field training and progression to Police Officer status, the salary increases to $62,751. New officers hired before January 1, will be eligible for a step increase at the new fiscal year. New employee hires hired after January 1 will receive their step increase the following fiscal year. Upon completion of field training and receipt of the Step 2 increase, Police Officer salary increases to $64,163.
