Job Summary:
This role interfaces with operators, supervisors, and managers both on-site, as well as with other teams remotely. The Process Engineer is responsible for production process improvements in all facets of the operation, providing technical expertise to improve processes for the day-to-day operations of the location; tracking and understanding department costs, production yields, quality, and updating standard operating procedures to support site and company goals related to safety, quality, efficiency, throughputs, and technology improvements.
Responsibilities:
• Lead and maintain oversight on capital improvement projects including; purchasing of materials and supplies, equipment installation, budget tracking, training, to startup
• Recommend improvements to company facilities, equipment, and safety programs
• Project design, development and management specific to the site operations
• Participate in, and lead Performance Excellence teams and initiatives
• Participate in Human Safety, Environmental, Quality and the Food Safety Management for the site
• Interact directly with shift supervisors and employees to produce desired operational results and to support employee development
• Review and analyze data (i.e. operational, production processes, quality, shift supervisor reports to identify opportunities for improvements to optimize production, quality and efficiencies
• Participate in the On-Call rotation schedule
Qualifications:
• B.S. in chemical, mechanical, ag engineering required
• 3+ years of Plant/Industrial experience preferred
• 2+ years of Project management experience strongly preferred
• Demonstrated leadership and problem solving skills
• Effective written and verbal communication skills
