Science Teacher

Position Overview
Marian Catholic High School is seeking a highly motivated and passionate Science teacher with a concentration in
Chemistry and Environmental Science who is interested in joining our school community during the 2026-2027 school
year which is a Catholic, coeducational, college preparatory high school within the Dominican tradition of study, prayer,
community, and preaching.


Qualifications
● Bachelor's degree in Science Education or a related field required.
● Valid state teaching certification required.
● Proven experience in teaching high school students preferred.
● Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
● Strong classroom management and discipline skills.
● Ability to work effectively with diverse student populations.
● Passion for student learning and a commitment to professional growth.
● Proficiency in using technology in the classroom.


Job Responsibilities
● Develop and implement engaging and differentiated lesson plans aligned with state standards and curriculum
guidelines.
● Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that fosters student growth and development.
● Assess student learning through a variety of methods (e.g., quizzes, tests, projects, observations) and provide
timely and constructive feedback.
● Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse learning needs of all students.
● Collaborate with colleagues, administrators, and support staff to ensure student success.
● Maintain accurate student records and communicate effectively with parents/guardians.
● Participate in professional development activities to enhance teaching skills and knowledge.
● Contribute positively to the overall school community.
