Curriculum Graduate Assistant

Description 

St. Cloud State University is seeking a dedicated, detail-oriented Graduate Assistant to support University Curriculum operations. This individual will work closely with the Curriculum Coordinator, Curriculum Specialist, Office of Assessment and Accreditation, and will collaborate with faculty and staff across multiple university units.

Responsibilities

The Graduate Assistant will support curriculum, catalog, assessment, accreditation, and academic planning processes, including:

  • Compile, maintain, and archive program and course records for the University Catalog.
  • Support common course prefix and number updates.
  • Assist faculty and staff with curriculum proposal development.
  • Support assessment and accreditation projects.
  • Assist with course scheduling projects.
  • Maintain degree maps and program completion plans.
  • Document accreditation materials.
  • Enter, review, and analyze data to ensure accuracy, consistency, and data integrity.
  • Assist with website maintenance related to curriculum and catalog systems.
  • Review and update documents related to policies and procedures.

Qualifications

  • Must be an enrolled graduate student at St. Cloud State University.
  • Experience working with databases and spreadsheets including data entry, data validation, sorting, filtering, analysis and generating reports. 
  • Experience supporting academic, administrative, or institutional data systems.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (i.e., Word, Excel, Outlook, OneDrive, Teams).
  • Demonstrated organizational, analytical, and attention-to-detail skills.
  • Interest in curriculum development and academic processes
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
  • Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
  • Ability to work remotely from a home environment with a reliable internet connection.
  • Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively in virtual meeting environments.

Work Environment and Expectations

  • This position is primarily remote, working from home. 
  • The position may require periodic in-person meetings on campus or scheduled virtual meetings, depending on project needs and university requirements. 
  • Work hours are flexible and may occur outside standard university business hours; however, the Graduate Assistant is expected to maintain availability for scheduled meetings, deadlines, and coordination during normal university business hours as needed. We can work around your classes.
  • The Graduate Assistant must provide their own device suitable for Microsoft Office applications and reliable internet connection.
  • Start date: August 2026 to May 2027

Stipend and Tuition Remission

  • Stipend of $10,560 for a 20-hour-per-week assistantship during the academic year.
  • Tuition remission is provided at the base FY2027 rate (estimated at $594/credit). 
    • Students receive tuition remission at the base rate and are responsible for any differential tuition and applicable student fees.
