HR Intern
POSITION SUMMARY: This internship offers hands-on learning experience in HR operations, employee engagement and talent management. The role supports a range of administrative tasks including organizing and maintaining both physical and digital employee files, preparing onboarding materials, supporting compliance-related clean-up efforts and event coordination. The role also contributes to key projects to enhance employer branding, recruitment marketing, and internal communications to create a strong employee experience and promote Webster Five as an employer of choice. This opportunity provides valuable exposure to HR functions in a collaborative, fast-paced environment while making a meaningful impact on company-wide initiatives.
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- HR File Management – improve document accessibility, streamline storage, and ensure HR materials and documentation remain compliant and easy to manage for long-term efficiency.
- Job Description Review – Streamline and standardize job descriptions to create clear, engaging, and well-structured postings that align with company branding and attract top talent.
- Employer Branding – Update Webster Five’s Glassdoor page to accurately reflect culture, values, and employee experience, strengthening Webster Five’s reputation.
- Internal Communications & Engagement – Assist with managing event postings and support internal committees with planning and posting communications, ensuring timely updates, collaboration, and increased employee involvement.
- Wellness & Engagement – Assist with bringing wellness initiatives to life by coordinating events and encouraging employee participation, fostering a healthier and more connected workplace.
- Maintain complete confidentiality in dealing with corporate and employee information.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Skilled in adopting and leveraging a range of technologies to enhance efficiency, communication, and task management. Proficient in Microsoft Office. Genuine interest in learning more about the field of human resources. Student Member of SHRM a plus. Ability to maintain confidentiality.
WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS: WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Work is often performed in an office environment, with frequent interruptions. Ability to stay in a stationary position, operate a computer, move inside the workplace and exchange information.
MINIMUM EDUCATION: Incoming Junior or Senior currently enrolled in a full-time undergraduate program in Business, Human Resources or related field. Minimum 3.0 GPA.
