Laboratory Intern Technician

3rd Rock is a physical soil, aggregate and material testing laboratory located in East Aurora, NY.  We provide comprehensive field activities consisting of soil and aggregate testing, as well as the associated laboratory testing required to meet specifications and standards. 3rd Rock is searching for an intern technician in geology, engineering or related curriculum to perform these duties. To apply, you should have basic tool handling skills, basic computer skills, problem solving abilities, a strong work ethic, and should be able to handle lifting up to 60 lbs of soil and/or equipment. Examples of tasks:

• Learning various types of tests including but not limited to; pH, grain size analysis, permeability, plasticity limits, proctors, etc. 
• Conducting field compaction testing at varying job site locations
• Recording, analyze, and organize data accurately
