Real Estate Credit Analyst

Leste’s real estate business is vertically integrated with capabilities spanning ground-up development, value-add equity investments and opportunistic credit. Within real estate credit, the team is primarily focused on housing-related investments, with broader flexibility across industrial, retail and mixed-use assets.

Leste is hiring an Originations Analyst to join its real estate credit team. The role offers excellent exposure to the full transaction cycle – supporting sourcing, underwriting, and execution. The Analyst will work closely with senior investment professionals in underwriting and executing senior bridge loans and selective structured equity investments

Job Description:

  • Build and interpret complex financial models covering property cash flows, credit underwriting and partnership returns
  • Analyze and synthesize market and sector-specific research to inform investment decision-making and substantiate investment theses
  • Evaluate business plan risk, market positioning and conduct scenario modeling
  • Prepare investment committee memoranda and present new investment opportunities
  • Support due diligence and transaction execution, including sponsor and third-party diligence coordination

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, STEM or a related quantitative field with a strong academic record
  • 1-3 years of experience in real estate investing (acquisitions or originations), investment banking, direct lending or securitized products
  • Proven ability to assess, distill and communicate complex structures to senior team members and investment committee audiences
  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills; comfortable owning and presenting IC materials
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel, financial modeling and PowerPoint
  • Highly organized and ownership-oriented – ability to manage multiple live transactions simultaneously
