Are you a college student looking for hands-on experience in GIS, data analysis, and compliance initiatives? York Water is seeking a Special Initiatives Intern to contribute to meaningful projects that enhance our operations and customer service. This internship offers the chance to work with historic records, GIS data, and compliance tracking, while gaining valuable professional experience in a collaborative environment.

What You’ll Do:

• Review historical water system records and extract key compliance information.
• Analyze service line data and create dashboards to track compliance progress.
• Perform quality assurance (QA) on data reported by employees and customers.
• Assist with GIS and GPS-related office and fieldwork.
• Update and maintain records within Oracle and GIS systems.
• Support customer database review and update activities.
• Develop tracking tools and analyze data for company initiatives.
• Collaborate with various departments to support ongoing projects.

What We’re Looking For:

• Current student pursuing a BS in GIS, Cartography, Geography, or a related field.
• Familiarity with GIS software (ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Online).
• Some experience with GPS equipment and field data collection.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and data management skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent communication, organization, and time management abilities.
• A valid PA driver’s license.
