Summer Enrichment Camp Intern

Description: Summer Enrichment Camp, Activities and Media Intern  

Position Title: Summer Enrichment Program Intern reporting to Director and Program Coordinator 
Dates of Employment: June 1 – (8 weeks) 
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM (Orientation begins June 1 at 8:30 AM) 
Location Job: 200 E. 8th Street Front Royal VA 

Position Overview 

We are seeking a motivated and youth-focused Summer Enrichment Program Intern who is interested in learning about programming, youth development, and working directly with students ages 13–18. This internship provides hands-on experience assisting with an 8-week summer enrichment program, including daily engagement, activity support, and supervision responsibilities, media content. Key Responsibilities  

Actively engage with youth ages 13–18 throughout the day. 

Assist with planning, set up, media, and supporting daily programs and activities. 

Model appropriate behavior and help maintain a positive, inclusive environment. 

Manage time effectively and stay on task with daily responsibilities. 

Participate in enrichment activities, discussions, and group sessions with enthusiasm. 

Support youth development by encouraging social skills, teamwork, and personal growth. 

Help supervise students throughout the day, ensuring safety and engagement. 

Communicate with staff regarding student needs, concerns, or behavioral issues. 

Attend mandatory orientation starting June 1. 

 

Supporting Responsibilities 

Capture photos and videos during daily Summer Enrichment Program activities. Create short recap videos, reel or highlight clips to post on social media. 

  

 

Qualifications 

Current College Student 

Interest in programming, youth development, education, or related fields. 

Ability to work with and relate to teens ages 13–18. 

Strong time management and task oriented skills. 

Reliable, responsible, and dependable. 

Energetic, positive, and willing to participate in all aspects of camp. 

Comfortable working full days (9:00 AM–5:30 PM), Monday through Friday. 

Willing to adhere to a public background check  

 

Two verifiable references, preferably one related to this field and/or another leadership role served in 

 

Smoke free campus
