Internship Projects/Tasks/Assignments
- Monitor and manage First Ascent Social Media platforms, adjusting reach tactics as needed
- Track social media engagement to identify high-performing ideas, trends, and campaigns
- Design and present original social media posts (including creating content from First Ascent and Ascend events)
- Design and contribute to email campaigns, newsletter, press release, and other marketing campaigns
- Provide a bi-weekly report of activity, engagement statistics
- Attend local First Ascent events and activities, scouting trips, coworking days and career fairs to support the First Ascent program and collect content for social media
- Other duties as assigned

- Digital Marketing & Social Media – scheduling posts, engaging followers, managing platforms
- Content Creation – writing blog posts, press releases, creating marketing materials
- Analytics & Data Interpretation – measuring campaign success, analyzing consumer behavior
- Project Management & Organization – handling multiple projects
- Professionalism – Networking events, communication, collaboration
- Marketing Tools – Canva, HubSpot
Previous Skills Intern Would Need to be Successful
- Proficiency in Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook and other social media platforms
- Experience with video editing tools (Canva can be learned throughout the internship)
- Strong verbal and written skills for crafting compelling, on-brand content and team communication and collaboration.
- Data interpretation to make informed decisions
- Creativity – generate fresh ideas for social media campaigns
- Ability to adapt and be a self-starter, eager to learn, and able to work independently
