Human Resources Assistant
The Human Resources Assistant provides support in several HR project and program areas including Workday (the judiciary’s HRIS) to process employee data changes; the performance evaluation system; complement control; HR’s SharePoint site; report development and distribution. This role also delivers operational and technical support to the AOPC/ HR Department. In addition, the role involves strict confidentiality and close interaction with leadership, managers and employees to ensure compliance with Judiciary policies and employment laws. This is a full-time, on-site position, Monday through Friday, 9:00 am to 5:00 pm.

Job Duties
- Provides administrative and operational support to the HR team to include: creating, editing, and proofreading documents in Word. Managing databases, maintaining accurate HR records, and preparing customized reports, charts and presentations.
- Provides essential administrative and operational support to ensure execution of daily HR functions.
- Coordinates HR activities and assists with various HR projects and initiatives.
- Oversees employee performance evaluation processes. Responsibilities include distributing instructions and notifications to managers, tracking and reporting on project status, entering all compensation changes, and preparing employee notification correspondence.
- Serves as a point of contact for employees and judges, providing communication and timely resolution to HR inquiries.
- Participates in training sessions, seminars, and on-the-job work experience to become familiar with HR programs and functions.
- Serves as technical support for the HR SharePoint site. Manages site content. Educates users on proper document creation and revision. Ensures access to documents is granted according to reporting responsibilities.
- Oversees the complement control process to include adding, eliminating, or changing positions; managing documentation; and preparing correspondence, spreadsheets, and related documents. Interacts with Court HR Partners, IT, and/or Payroll to resolve technical issues and address concerns related to HR systems or processes.
- Exports, analyzes, and/or distributes Workday data reports. Serves as the point of contact for employees and judges who need assistance with Workday technical issues, including assisting users with accessing the system.
- Collaborates in onboarding and offboarding all judges in Workday.
- Serves as the primary contact for the Human Resources Department regarding MS Office problem resolution, technical solutions, and project data queries.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in HR Management, Business Administration, or a similar field of study.
- An equivalent combination of education, experience, and/or training may be considered.
Additional Requirements/ Preferences
- Advanced knowledge and experience with Adobe and MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, and Outlook.
- Satisfactory criminal background check required.
