Responsibilities:
The Putnam Valley Central School District has an anticipated probationary vacancy for a Spanish teacher to provide instruction to students in grades 6-8. Knowledge of the New York State Learning Standards, effective classroom management techniques, strong instructional skills, and effective teaching strategies are necessary.
Qualifications:
New York State Spanish 6-8 certification is required.
Additional NYS ESOL certification is a plus.
Salary:
The salary is per the Putnam Valley Federation of Teachers collective bargaining agreement.
Bachelor’s Degree: minimum $61,779, midpoint $80,853, maximum $103,364
Master’s Degree: minimum $70,428, midpoint $99,753, maximum $132,484
