Laboratory Technician

Job Description:

 DENCO II in Morris, MN has an exciting opportunity for a Laboratory Technician to join our growing team! Under the supervision of our laboratory manager, the laboratory technician is responsible for executing the quality assurance (QA/QC) program to ensure maximum production quality in our ethanol production facility. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, self-motivated, eager to learn, and have a mechanical aptitude. This full-time position, Monday through Friday: 7:00 am to 3:30 pm, with occasional weekend work.

 Principal Duties and Responsibilities 

• Analysis of samples by following SOPs. • Make recommendations for adjusting process conditions to ensure quality. • Operate, maintain, and calibrate laboratory equipment: HPLC, GC, Karl Fisher, etc. • Monitor inventories of lab chemicals and supplies. • Ensure lab and plant cleanliness. • Maintain lab SDS and follow EHS policies and procedures. • Maintain clear records, review reports, and analyze data. • Stormwater sample collection and data entry. Qualifications Education/Experience: • High school diploma required. • Prefer a degree in chemistry, biology, or related field or 2 years’ experience in a lab related area or ethanol plant. Skills: • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite required. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. • Strong analytical abilities and problem-solving skills. • Multitask with efficiency and accuracy.

• Must be able to climb stairs and ladders. • Able to lift 50 pounds occasionally
