Front Desk Receptionist

We are a growing chiropractic and wellness office seeking a friendly, organized, and detail-oriented Front Desk Receptionist to join our team. Our practice offers chiropractic care, massage therapy (LMTs), and acupuncture services, so we’re looking for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, patient-focused environment.

Position Overview

As the first point of contact for our patients, you will play a key role in creating a welcoming and efficient office experience. This role requires strong communication skills, multitasking ability, and a commitment to excellent patient care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Greet patients warmly and professionally, ensuring a positive first impression
  • Clearly explain appointment times, required paperwork, and office policies
  • Schedule appointments and manage calendars via phone and in-person requests
  • Maintain strong phone etiquette when answering calls and addressing inquiries
  • Communicate effectively with chiropractors, massage therapists, acupuncture providers, and support staff
  • Verify patient insurance coverage and benefits
  • Collect copays and process payments accurately
  • Manage patient records, paperwork, and incoming calls simultaneously
  • Ensure accurate data entry and maintain up-to-date patient information
  • Keep the front desk organized, clean, and operating efficiently
  • Prioritize urgent tasks during high-volume periods
  • Ensure all documentation is complete, compliant, and properly filed
  • Handle sensitive patient information responsibly and maintain confidentiality
  • Follow all HIPAA and privacy regulations

Required Qualifications

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Proficiency with basic office software (scheduling systems, spreadsheets, billing platforms)
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced healthcare environment

Preferred / Bonus Skills

  • Previous experience as a medical receptionist or in a healthcare setting
  • Familiarity with chiropractic software (e.g., ChiroTouch, Kareo)
  • Bilingual communication skills
  • Basic understanding of marketing or patient retention strategies
