Social Media Intern

MARO is a fast-growing natural fiber apparel brand. We make organic cotton toe socks, boxers, shorts, and more - clothing designed to work with your body, not against it. We believe in better health from the ground up.

We're looking for someone to manage our Instagram presence day-to-day. This is a taste-first role. If you have a strong visual eye, live on Instagram, and understand how to make a brand feel alive without making every post a sales pitch, we want to hear from you.

What you'd do

  • Plan and post 4–5 feed posts per week including static images, carousels, and reels
  • Post daily stories
  • Curate a cohesive visual identity for the grid
  • Source and repost user generated content
  • Create content from assets we provide (product photos, lifestyle shots, behind-the-scenes material)
  • Help identify content opportunities and trends worth engaging with

What we're looking for

  • A strong visual eye — if your Instagram shows this, great. If not, show us in other ways (mood boards, past work, a portfolio).
  • Understanding of how brands use Instagram to build culture, not just sell product
  • Interest in natural living, wellness, fitness, or fashion (ideally some overlap)
  • Ability to write short, sharp captions that sound human
  • Reliable and self-directed — this is remote, you need to show up without being managed daily
  • Basic photo and video editing skills
  • Any prior social media experience is a plus — even managing an account for a local business, a student org, or a personal project counts

  • ~10–12 hours per week
  • Remote — US-based preferred but not required
