Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Analytical Chemistry Intern to join our dynamic research and development team. This paid internship offers an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced laboratory environment, supporting quality control, product development, and regulatory compliance. The summer intern in analytical chemistry will contribute to projects providing multiple perspectives of a commercial operating laboratory. The projects involve implementing new technologies at the site including documentation necessary to direct and capture analytical conduct. Additionally, multiple laboratory based projects provide experience in separation sciences (LC or GC), Karl Fischer, Sulfated Ash. As an integral part of our team, you will contribute to ensuring the integrity and safety of our products through rigorous analytical testing and data analysis. Responsibilities:
The intern performs a variety of laboratory processes during research and development of new analytical techniques and systems under the direction of a Quality Control Scientist.

Skills:

  • Ability to write clearly, use mathematical principles for calculation of values commonly used in analytical chemistry.
  • Ability to work safely with chemicals, reagents and solvents commonly found in an analytical laboratory
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office tools such as Excel.
  • Follow strict safety protocols related to CGMP (Current Good Manufacturing Practices) and biochemistry/microbiology procedures.

Education:

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or related field.

Experience:

  • Laboratory experience in organic and/or analytical chemistry.
  • Hands-on experience with running analytical and chromatographic instrumentation.
