Piano Instructor - Group Class Leader (Growth Track Available)

Music Lessons Arizona – Tempe, AZ$38–$45/hour DOE | 10–12 hrs/week | In-Person

Music Lessons Arizona is expanding our structured piano program and is seeking a classically trained piano instructor who is confident leading group piano classes and maintaining focused, engaging learning environments for children.

This role includes both group piano classes (ages 6–11) and private lessons within a collaborative, team-based studio.

Students and curriculum are provided. We are building a scalable class piano model with a clear growth pathway for the right teacher.

What You’ll Teach

• Group piano classes (capped at 9 students)
• 30- and 60-minute private lessons
• Beginner through intermediate students
• Participation in student showcases and studio events

Our classes blend strong technical foundations with rhythmic, structured, and interactive activities. The ability to confidently lead a room and maintain class flow is essential.

We Are Looking For Someone Who:

• Has formal classical piano training (degree completed or in progress)
• Has 2+ years teaching experience
• Is comfortable leading groups of 6–9 children
• Can maintain a structured, focused classroom environment
• Sets clear expectations and redirects behavior calmly and confidently
• Enjoys working with energetic children
• Is coachable and open to working within a defined curriculum
• Values team collaboration and long-term growth

Strong sight-reading skills required.

• Teachers seeking only back-to-back 1:1 lessons
• Instructors uncomfortable managing group dynamics
• Teachers wanting full curriculum autonomy
• Educators focused exclusively on competition-only private training

We operate as a cohesive program with shared standards and expectations.

Growth Pathway

We offer structured advancement within our piano department:

Level 1 – Piano Instructor
Teach classes and private lessons within our established model.

Level 2 – Senior Class Instructor
Lead larger groups independently and model strong classroom leadership.

Level 3 – Lead Class Teacher
Assist in training new teachers, refining class systems, and contributing to program growth.

Compensation increases with leadership, reliability, and class effectiveness.
