MBA Product Manager Intern

The eBay MBA Product Manager Internship is a 12-week summer program designed for experienced professionals transitioning into or accelerating their careers in Product Leadership. Interns are embedded into core product teams to tackle high-priority, "day-one" strategic challenges that impact millions of global users.
This program is built for an AI-first era. You will be expected to leverage modern, AI-enabled discovery and prototyping to accelerate the product lifecycle, building next-generation commerce experiences for a global Gen Z audience.
Role Overview
As an MBA Product Manager Intern, you will own a high-visibility, 12-week project with a clearly defined objective. You will navigate the transition from ambiguity to execution, leveraging your professional background to drive business cases and product requirements. You will work at the intersection of business strategy and technical innovation, supported by senior leadership mentorship and a peer-level professional environment.
What You Will Do
During this 12-week internship, you will:
- Accelerate Discovery: Rapidly synthesize market trends, user research, and data insights to identify high-impact product opportunities.
- Define Strategy & Requirements: Author crisp product requirements documents and business cases, defining the North Star metrics for your assigned feature or initiative.
- Leverage AI Workflows: Utilize Generative AI and automated data tools to compress the discovery-to-prototype cycle.
- Drive Cross-Functional Alignment: Lead a pod of Engineering, Design, and Data partners to move from concept to technical feasibility and execution.
- Analyze Business Impact: Forecast ROI and long-term value, ensuring your product recommendations align with eBay’s broader marketplace goals.
- Executive Presentation: Conclude your internship by delivering a final strategic recommendation and project readout to eBay’s Product Leadership Team.
Basic Qualifications
- Education: Currently pursuing an MBA full time in a US accredited university (graduating between December 2026 and Summer 2027).
- Professional Experience: 3–5 years of full-time, post-undergraduate professional experience in technology, consulting, engineering, finance, or a related field.
- Availability: Must be able to work full-time (40 hours/week) for the 12-week summer cycle.
- Authorization: This role requires U.S. work authorization and does not offer visa sponsorship (F1, CPT, OPT, H1B).
- AI & Data Literacy: Proven experience using AI tools for problem-solving and an expert-level ability to use data (SQL, Tableau, etc.) to inform strategy.
- Communication: Exceptional executive-level verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in Product Management, Management Consulting, or Venture Capital.
- Strong technical intuition (familiarity with APIs, system architecture, or ML models).
- Proven track record of delivering results in fast-paced, ambiguous environments.
- A passion for marketplace dynamics and the future of e-commerce.
