Job Description

Advantest manufactures best in class,  automated test equipment (ATE) for use in high volume manufacturing by our semi-conductor industry customers.

 

We are looking for an EE/CS or CS engineering intern to work with our new products team.  This person will develop test program software to support evaluation of new ATE hardware on our EVA100 system which uses the Atelier software environment.  The right candidate will have the software skill learn our tester’s programming, and EE training to understand what is being measured.

 Job Description

  • You will be trained on use of the EVA100 system and Atelier software environment.
  • You will develop test programs for our EVA100 system to measure performance of a new analog sub-system.
  • You will run the test software, collect and organize raw measurements, then analyze and plot them using an available software tool.
  • Under HW engineering direction you will run experiments to examine particular details of performance
  • You will maintain the EVA100 test system and organize our prototype materials.

 

Requirements

Key Qualifications and Skills

  • Java language programming, preferably using Eclipse
  • Excel programming using VBA
  • Ability to be on-site at our San Jose office
  • Knowledge of basic EE tools such as DVM, oscilloscope
  • Knowledge of basic electrical concepts and functions, such as ADC, Kelvin connection
  • Clear written and verbal English communications, and organized work methods, are essential for this role
