AI & Automation Engineer Intern (n8n / Workflow Automation)
About the Role
American Medical Compliance (AMC) is growing — and so is our AI team! We currently have a team of three engineers, and we're looking for a fourth to join us.
We're seeking an AI-driven, automation-focused engineer to help design, build, and optimize intelligent workflows using n8n, APIs, and AI tools.
This role is ideal for Computer Science, Engineering, or AI majors who want real-world experience working on production automation systems used in healthcare compliance, education, and operations. You'll work closely with leadership and an established engineering team on workflow automation, AI integrations, and process optimization — not busywork.
What You'll Work On
- Build and maintain n8n workflows integrating APIs, databases, webhooks, and SaaS tools
- Integrate AI models (LLMs, NLP, automation logic) into real business processes
- Design low-code / no-code automations that scale
- Optimize data flows between platforms (CRM, LMS, forms, payments, email, etc.)
- Troubleshoot and improve existing automation pipelines
- Collaborate on automation architecture and documentation
Required Qualifications
- Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, or related field
- Strong interest in automation, AI, and systems integration
- Familiarity with APIs, JSON, REST, webhooks
- Logical thinker with strong problem-solving skills
- Comfortable learning new tools quickly
Preferred (Not Required)
- Experience with n8n, Zapier, Make, or similar automation platforms
- Basic experience with JavaScript / Python
- Understanding of AI/ML concepts (LLMs, prompt engineering, NLP, etc.)
- Experience with databases or cloud services
