Position Description
The Development Intern will assist in all aspects of the Fitchburg Art Museum’s development operations. Responsibilities include assisting with researching and writing grants; planning, promoting, and executing special events; supporting gift acknowledgement and fulfillment activities; undertaking marketing and research projects; and providing administrative support to the Development Department as needed.
The intern will be introduced to the donor database Altru and help maintain it through gathering and updating constituent information. This position works closely with the Development Department staff and also interacts with all other
FAM departments. Attends meetings of the Development Department and FAM Staff meetings, if scheduling allows.
Internship Qualifications: Excellent communication skills, writing experience, planning and organizational skills, and ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong interpersonal skills and precise attention to detail are required. Must be computer literate and have knowledge of and ease with Microsoft Office. Database experience is a plus. Able to multitask.
