Spanish-speaking Graduate Research Assistant - Remote
ALL INDIVIDUALS MUST BE FLUENT IN SPANISH.
Exciting opportunity working on a project focused on supporting individuals at risk for homelessness.
Project HIRE will focus on the science of preventing homelessness. Clients exiting the emergency department will be screened for imminent homelessness and will be provided resources and/or engaged in homeless diversion services.
Position description: Work is available at all hours including weekdays, nights, and weekends with a STRONG PREFERENCE for those who can work weekdays. Work is almost entirely remote and can be done from anywhere.
1. Primary Responsibilities:
a. Call potential participants to remind them to complete the survey
b. Conduct a telephonic assessment on health and housing
c. Distribute and track gift cards
d. Record client responses and job activities in a data management system
2. Secondary Responsibilities (as necessary if time allows):
a. Attend team meetings
b. Other related duties as assigned
Required
- Spanish speaking
- Excellent telephonic communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage a complex schedule
- Cultural sensitivity in working with diverse communities including the ability to develop rapport with diverse individuals
- Ability to work independently
- Comfort with technology and data entry
- Equipment will be provided but stable internet and a quiet environment will be needed for those who work from home
Preferred:
- Background or interest in research or data collection activities
