IT Support Intern
About the Role
This internship offers a hands-on introduction to IT support within a healthcare environment. You will gain experience in:
- Help desk operations
- Device management
- HIPAA-compliant technology practices
The position is hybrid with flexible remote work and occasional in-person tasks. Strong performers may transition to a paid internship or part-time/full-time IT role.
Responsibilities
Help Desk Support:
- Provide Tier 1 technical support
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues
- Manage email and user accounts
- Document ticket resolutions
Device & Asset Management:
- Track and manage laptops, tablets, and other devices
- Assist with setup, imaging, deployment, and offboarding
Systems & Security Exposure:
- Support HIPAA-compliant processes
- Update user access controls
- Maintain system documentation
Operational IT Projects:
- Assist with new hire technology onboarding
- Support clinic setup
- Maintain organized asset databases
Qualifications
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in IT, Computer Science, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, or related field
- Basic troubleshooting skills (Windows, Microsoft 365, Google Workspace preferred)
- Strong organizational and documentation skills
- Interest in healthcare IT or technical operations
- Ability to handle confidential information responsibly
