IT Support Intern

About the Role

This internship offers a hands-on introduction to IT support within a healthcare environment. You will gain experience in:

  • Help desk operations
  • Device management
  • HIPAA-compliant technology practices

The position is hybrid with flexible remote work and occasional in-person tasks. Strong performers may transition to a paid internship or part-time/full-time IT role.

Responsibilities

Help Desk Support:

  • Provide Tier 1 technical support
  • Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues
  • Manage email and user accounts
  • Document ticket resolutions

Device & Asset Management:

  • Track and manage laptops, tablets, and other devices
  • Assist with setup, imaging, deployment, and offboarding

Systems & Security Exposure:

  • Support HIPAA-compliant processes
  • Update user access controls
  • Maintain system documentation

Operational IT Projects:

  • Assist with new hire technology onboarding
  • Support clinic setup
  • Maintain organized asset databases

Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in IT, Computer Science, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, or related field
  • Basic troubleshooting skills (Windows, Microsoft 365, Google Workspace preferred)
  • Strong organizational and documentation skills
  • Interest in healthcare IT or technical operations
  • Ability to handle confidential information responsibly
