Subject Matter Expert (Senior Drafter/CAD Operator) 1159
Education: High School Diploma or GED.
Months/Years of Experience: Mechanical/Electrical Designer with a minimum of 20 years' experience.
Required Qualifications: U. S. Citizen. Must have a Security Clearance. Must possess qualifications and/or particular expertise that is exceptional and/or highly unique. Must possess extensive expertise in parametric solid modeling, sheet metal design, mold design, inner-connect schematic diagrams, cable drawings, documentation control, research, material requirements planning, purchasing, scheduling, prototyping, assembly, testing, project management, and expediting.
Desired Qualifications: Previous experience with Solidworks.
Duties: Serve as MSI design/draftsman advisor. Leverage extensive experience in mechanical and electrical design. SMEs typically perform the following types of functions: Initiates, supervises, and/or develops requirements from a project's inception to conclusion for complex to extremely complex programs; provides strategic advice, technical guidance and expertise to program and project staff; provides detailed analysis, evaluation and recommendations for improvements, optimization development, and/or maintenance efforts for client-specific or mission critical challenges/issues; discusses need or problems with clients; supervises studies and leads surveys to collect and analyze data to provide advice and recommend solutions.
