Bioprocess Intern - Summer 2026
Note: This internship is through the NJ Career Accelerator Internship Grant Program. As such, these are the eligibility requirements for this internship position:
- Current NJ undergraduate student
- Current NJ graduate student
- Recent NJ college graduate: must have graduated less than one year prior to start of the internship experience (May 2025-May 2026 graduates)
- A current undergraduate student who is a permanent NJ resident

Fork & Good is developing new approaches to growing meat without livestock. Our approach addresses critical food safety issues, cuts out the immense resources needed for livestock, and avoids animal slaughter. We are using innovative cell culture technologies to grow cells for products that have the meat flavor we crave and the key nutrients we need. We have 80+ years of combined experience in food business and science, developed one of the first prototypes of clean meat in 2011, and was the first team who had approved intellectual property (i.e. patents) in the cultured meat space in the US. Fork & Good’s summer internship program is looking for individuals who are excited to be a part of cultivated meat, making a direct contribution to our goal to create a technology for sustainable food production. The Bioprocess Intern will have an opportunity to participate in the development and manufacturing of new bioprocesses delivering material to key commercial stakeholders. The Bioprocess Intern will report directly to the Bioprocess Director.
In this role you will be expected to:
- Maintain mammalian cell cultures and media preparation to prepare for benchtop and pilot scale bioreactor batches.
- Key responsibilities include executing cell culture practices such as aseptic techniques, cell thaw, expansion, and cryopreservation of cells.
- Have hands-on experience with process analytical tools to analyze cell culture and bioreactor performance.
- Have experience using processing technologies for creating aseptic connections.
- Take part in bioreactor runs supply biomass to Fork & Good interested parties (including investors and/or commercial partners).
- Perform data analysis, interpretation, and sharing research findings at internal team meetings.
- Contribute to the development and testing of new technologies and workflows.
The successful candidate will have:
- Must be enrolled in undergraduate or graduate degree in either chemical engineering, biomedical engineering, biochemistry, molecular biology, or other related majors.
- Cumulative GPA must be at least 3.0
- Ability to document experimental procedures, results, and observations meticulously for accurate record-keeping.
- Communicate effectively with team members
- Hands-on experience in mammalian cell culture is a plus
- Hands-on experience with benchtop bioreactors (e.g. Eppendorf, Sartorius) is a plus
- Analyze and present technical results at team meetings
Compensation:
Compensation for each intern will be fixed at $20/hr for a full-time internship role at 20hrs/week starting on June 8st 2026 and ending August 14th 2026.
