Student Success & Academic Excellence - Tutoring Services GA

 

The graduate assistant for Tutoring Services is an opportunity for a qualified graduate student to assist with the planning and delivery of the Tutoring Services program. This position assists with the identification, interviewing and training of Tutoring Services student employees, assists with tutor/tutee matching, oversees office staff and lab shift changes, and contributes to 
the implementation of goals/objectives and assessment set forth for the program. The graduate assistant for Tutoring Services will help establish an atmosphere open to meeting the reasonable expectations of students and ensuring high quality programs and services. The work will be delivered in a professional manner and in concert with State System and Kutztown University 
ethical standards. The Graduate Assistant for Tutoring Services will be a graduate student in Student Affairs, Counseling, Social Work, Education, or related area. Related undergraduate experience/involvement is preferred. Analytical skills, demonstrated ability to be self-motivated and to conduct oneself in a highly professional and ethical manner and a working 
knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Adobe preferred.


This position is for 20 hours/week of work (300 hours per semester), and it provides a tuition waiver for 9 graduate credits plus a stipend of $3,750 per semester.  Please contact Adam Troxel for additional information if needed at troxel@kutztown.edu.
