Tool Room Manager

Responsible for overseeing all aspects of in-house tool manufacturing, maintenance, development, and testing to support company objectives, maximize productivity, and ensure the highest standards of workmanship. Leads and coordinates Tool Room resources to ensure tooling is produced efficiently, on schedule, and in compliance with quality standards, while maintaining adherence to health, safety, and environmental requirements. Establishes and maintains production planning systems, promotes technical best practices, and develops standard policies and procedures. Provides leadership, mentoring, and guidance to the team, while driving continuous improvement initiatives and modern manufacturing practices through the identification of deficiencies and implementation of effective solutions in training, processes, and workflows.

Qualifications and Experience Levels:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Engineering, or a related field preferred
  • Extensive plant-level experience with a demonstrated track record of effective leadership and supervision
  • Strong technical knowledge and aptitude
  • Working knowledge of Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP), Kaizen, and lean manufacturing principles
  • Experience managing Profit and Loss (P&L) responsibilities within a manufacturing environment
  • Solid understanding of manufacturing operations, procurement, and supply chain processes
  • Familiarity with IATF 16949 standards and requirements

 

Salary starting range is $85,000 - $95,000, but will ultimately be based on experience/education and can be discussed during interview.
